Privacy Policy

What this site collects

The site is a static publication. It does not run forms, accounts, comment systems, or e-commerce. Two categories of information are collected, both passively:

1. Standard server logs

The hosting provider (Vercel) logs the IP address, timestamp, requested URL, referrer, and user agent of every request. This is standard infrastructure logging. Logs are used only for security, debugging, and abuse prevention. They are retained per Vercel’s default retention policy.

2. Google Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics 4 (property G-7NYF3LKQK2) to understand which pages get read, what countries visitors come from, and how they reach the site. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser. The information collected is aggregated and used to improve the content. IP addresses are anonymized by Google before being processed.

What this site does not do

• It does not have an email signup form, newsletter, or mailing list.
• It does not run advertising, retargeting pixels, or third-party ad networks.
• It does not sell, rent, or share visitor data with any third party for marketing purposes.
• It does not use Google Analytics for advertising audiences or remarketing.

Bookings and inquiries

Booking requests are handled by Cal.com, a third-party scheduling service. When you click a "Book a call" link and complete the booking on cal.com, that information (your name, email, and any details you provide) is collected by Cal.com under their own privacy policy, and is shared with Michael Levinson for the purpose of confirming and conducting the meeting. It is not added to any list or used for any other purpose.

Email inquiries received in response to anything on this site are treated confidentially and used only to respond to the inquiry.

Cookies

The only cookies set by this site are the Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _gid, _gat) used for the analytics described above. You can disable these by using your browser’s cookie controls, by using a tracker-blocker (such as uBlock Origin or Ghostery), or by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Your rights

If you are a resident of a jurisdiction with data protection rights (the European Union, the United Kingdom, California, Quebec under Law 25, or others), you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information held about you. Requests can be made to the contact below.

Children

This site is intended for a professional adult audience. It is not directed at children, and no information is knowingly collected from anyone under the age of 16.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Governing law

This policy and any disputes arising from it are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
